Shaza Fatima Khawaja is a prominent Pakistani politician currently serving as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, holding the status of Minister of State.
She completed her BSc Hons in Economics and Politics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and obtained her master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Warwick.
Early in her career, she served as a faculty member for 6 years in the International Relations and Political Science Department at LUMS.
Khawaja, affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N), was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan on a reserved seat for women from Punjab in both the 2013 and 2018 Pakistani general elections.
She has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan continuously since August 2018, previously serving from June 2013 to May 2018.
Khawaja has contributed significantly to the National Assembly, notably serving as Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, and Textile.
She has represented Pakistan at various international platforms, including the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, World Political Parties Dialogue in China, Youth Parliamentarians Forum in the Netherlands, and Pakistan Legislators Dialogue Forum in the USA, among others.
